A lot of work - a lot of photos. Yep, a commercial and very pleasing graff job teamed up with my buddy Chris at the city harbour. A little story about living in Hamburg city & port and traveling around the world by ship... Still happy with the result. I guess we just made it trough these 10 days of work by having all these classy canteens and chip stands around at the free port... and some moving punk rock music from The Accidents.
I have never been too much of a phantastic fantasy art fan. But i grew up reading my Dad's underground comics like U-Comic, Heavy Metal and Pilot. So i am at least familiar with a bunch of fantasy artists from the 70s and 80s. The painting "Siren Song" from Boris Vallejo has been a favourite since back then and has been my MacBook's wallpaper for months now. Somehow i stumbled across some remakes/tributes lately in some dodgy bars. I collected photos of them and got a few more foundlings on the web. All slightly missing the erotic crackle of the original. And hey, talking about "Heavy Metal"... wasn't there some mash-up in an episode of South Park?
Came across this WWII propaganda parody cartoon clip called "Blitz Wolf" (directed by Tex Avery for MGM in 1942) while checking out the TearsForDesire graff blog. These guys made a funny wall themed "Der Fewer - Der Better" based on that cartoon. Flawless! ...hm, just missing the sausage swastika there, haha!
