De Blob - De Rip-Off

Thanx to Mr. Giraffentoast who reminded me of this game called "De Blob Revolution". I came across screenshots from it a while ago and indeed you can't disregred some similarities of these police-speakerbox-characters to my little Teddy Trooper fellows. But sure i don't own copyrights to any thing with a helmet and a star on it out there... Like always i just take it as a tribute to my work :-)

Sad Sunday

One of our greatest has passed away. My friend Sigi von Koeding better known as DARE lost his battle against cancer. Thinking back about him i am just full of good memories! Meeting Sigi first a few years ago in Paris at a festival where we immediately became friends. There are just a few people out there who are that smart, supportive, selfless and positive to others. Beside his great personality he has been also a real great artist. Working hard and convident on his way of life that took him rally far. But at the same time also doing so much for his friends. By being involved together to a few more projects since then we met up frequently and each time we were best mates and it was always high fun times. Thank you! There is a big gap left now that you have gone. This is not only really sad — this is just wrong! Why do the good ones have to leave first?

Sigi, now you have gone where only eagles DARE...

"DER ROTE BARON" customized 10" Teddy Trooper

After bringing you the "RED SHADOW" and the "650° HITZEROT" customized Teddy Troops i just emptied my last little red acrylics to drop you "DER ROTE BARON" aka The Red Baron (wikipedia) - the German aerial battle legend from WWI. Even if it features those strong red-white-black colours and German air force insignias this one has nothing to do with Third Reich or shit so don't take me wrong. Now that all my red paint has gone i think for my next customized Teddy Trooper i'll have to give a zombie-SS-officer a rainbow-coloured armlet instead...

"Serigraph V10" @ Vicious Gallery / Hamburg DE

The group show "Serigraph V10" is up to come this Saturday, January 30th at the Vicious Gallery in Hamburg/DE. It will feature new limited art prints by artists like DaveTheChimp, Milk, SozyOne, Stefan Strumbel and many more... I have been to our workshop for this the first time after a long while to print this posters myself (and a big help from my friend MILK). So these gonna be all unique: grey cardboard sheets, size 50x70 cm, spraypainted background, white and black silkscreen print layers and additional handdrawn details on the helmet stars and ornaments.

MOB Skateboards - Anniversary & New Stuff

This year my friends at MOB Skateboards are celebrating their 10-years-anniversary. So they dropped a jubilee skateboard series by artists Dave The Chimp, Stefan Marx, Andy Jenkins and my very own "MOB Brett Imperial Champagne" design.
I also illustrated a new t-shirt design - a tribute to one of my all-time-classic movies "Rambo - First Blood".
And for their very own new truck company i designed the POLSTER brand logo. "Polster" means "cushion" in German and so in this logo you have the "S" very well padded in between the other letters.
See all new stuff in the new MOB Catalogue 2010. It also features a poster view of all MOB skatedecks ever being released. I counted more than 25 designs i have worked on...

Blue & Red / Zagreb HR

We also had a short time gap to go to a school and paint a wall together with DOCK, SMACK, LUNAR, DANGER, MORKA and ANGEL. We had to run because kids started to throw oranges at us monkeys!

MEŠTART / Zagreb HR

Been to Zagreb to meet up with my friends and crew buddies from YCP in Zagreb last week. We were invited to paint at the museum Atelijer Meštrović. We did these tribute paintings of Croatia's very famous and significant sculptor Ivan Meštrovića. Together with LUNAR, ANGEL, MORKA, ZETS and Roland we turned those boxes into colour.
